I read it on Yahoo and frankly I am disgusted by the comments on the page. Maybe it’s just me?

Person #1: “And in other important news, today is Memorial Day.” with someone else’s comment “We will soon be erecting a memorial in remembrance of the America that once was…”

I’m sorry that you’re not interested in a warmer, accepting future. A lot of our soldiers are gay. Did you hear about how the first openly gay Air Force cadets were graduated? This is the future. I thank all our soldiers, whatever their sexuality, race, religion, or anything else. We remember them all today for the sacrifices they made not for whether or not they were gay. America is changing, maybe you should change too.

Person #2: “Thanks yahoo for making me puke up my dinner” with another comment of “what freaks”

The usual, y’know. If you don’t like gay marriage, well then THANK GOODNESS you don’t have to get one yourself, right?

Person #3: I lost track of them, but they were talking about how if two woman get married and one wears a tux then why not marry a man and stop pretending to be one by wearing a tux.

It’s their own personal choice. There could be two lesbians married in dresses, both in tuxes, one in a tux and the other in a dress. HECK! They could not even go traditional dress/tux route at all! What they choose to wear is based on their own personal preferences not who’s the “butch” or the “man in the relationship”. It doesn’t mean they’re trying to be someone they’re not. I just. There are not enough words.

I say, congratulations to you, Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni. I hope they have a happy marriage(:
